Printer Ink

By

Most of the best places to buy printer ink is online.  There are a lot of printer ink stores all over the internet.  However, they are not all created equal.  The internet makes shopping for ink easy and will save you time and money.  It is important to look for stores that have a standard for quality as you don’t want to end up with inferior printer inks.  Low quality means that the cartridge will run out of ink faster than others, won’t print good quality documents, and dry up faster than others.

Shopping For Ink Cartridges

You should start by browsing online like you do when you are looking for anything but take the time to read over what the web site is saying about itself and what it’s saying about the competition.  Read reviews and check out forums.  This might sound a little crazy since it’s only an ink cartridge, but once you have gathered good info on what is good to buy and what is not, you won’t have to do it again.  Next time you buy you will already know what you want, and where the best place is to get it.

After you know what you are looking for weather it’s a curtain brand name or a particular place you want to buy, you will want to be a smart consumer and look for where the deals are.  Some places online sell printer ink cartridges for a discount all the time, in other words they are always low priced.  While others run promotional deals on certain brands or ink cartridges for certain printers here and there.  The best thing to do is start shopping and cruise to different sites and stores and check out the offers.  I’ll give you a quick example; I just saw an ad for a Canon ink cartridge for $3.29 for a particular site and with another search I found another ad for Canon ink cartridges for 80% off with free shipping and 100% guaranteed.  I would then click and read into the site and see if it is what I am looking for and if I’m happy with it, I would buy it and remember it for the next time I need a refill on new printer inks.

Printer Ink Refill

Instead of buying new ink cartridges, refilling your ink cartridge with ink is also an option.  It’s cheaper than buying a new printer ink cartridge which is why some people prefer this option over new ink cartridges.  The manufactures tend to argue that the cartridge wasn’t designed for refilling and that the quality of the cartridge is compromised.  However, some cartridges can be refilled a few times with out seriously affecting the quality.  If you would like to try this option there are places to buy refills all over the online world.  As you already know or are bound to find out; the internet has a great selection when it comes to printer ink refills and cartridges.

Manufacture Ink Vs. After Market Ink

As you look around online you will find that there are OEM ink cartridges, which stands for original equipment manufacture, as well as after market cartridges. OEM is ink for printers by the manufactures such as Canon, HP, or Epson. An after market cartridge is manufactured from another company but made specifically to work in the printer it was designed for. Some websites state that their brand of printer ink cartridges meet or exceed the original equipment manufacture standards. That is true with some brands. With that being said you will find that often times aftermarket ink is also much cheaper; some sites claim to be up to 90% cheaper than what the manufacture charges. With out getting to technical about everything, if you purchase an after market brand other than the brand of your printer, you should be fine. Quality can vary but in general it’s not that dramatic. For the higher price that you will pay for a cartridge from HP, Canon, or Epson compared to the price you will pay for an after market brand usually won’t justify the difference in quality. However, as time goes by all cartridges will loose their ability to keep their quality. In other words, quality will deteriorate over time and a better printer ink cartridge will defer that effect longer. If an ink cartridge is too far deteriorated and is printing blotchiness and streaking, refilling it with ink sometimes is not an option since the spray function itself might be to far gone.

Start by looking around online for stores that carry printer ink cartridges, read what they have to say, and check out the prices. With the vast amount of stores out there you’re bound to find the deal for you.
